Today we are going to take a closer look at the mechanical properties of Vinyl Ester FRP threaded rod and Isoplast LGF40-TPU.

Fiberglass reinforced polymer (FRP) is one of the strongest, most durable building materials available in the marketplace today. There are a variety of names that these materials are commonly known by, including ComplÄ“t® LGF40-TPU, Celstran® LFRT, Superstud!™, Fiberfast™, Durostone®, Derakane®, and Fiberglass.

FRP Vinyl Ester Threaded Studs are high-strength pultruded glass-reinforced material coupled with a UV-stabilized Derakane® Vinyl Ester resin. After the rods are pultruded to maximum strength, the material is ground to standard Unified National Coarse (UNC) threads. Vinyl Ester studs and LGF40-TPU nuts are ideal for applications requiring mechanical fasteners that must be non-corrosive, low in conductivity, and/or transparent to electromagnetic waves.

We offer a variety of injection-molded fasteners in the 101 LGF40 TPU material and threaded rods utilizing a Derakane® Vinyl Ester resin. With a variety of solutions available off the shelf, please see a bit more information about the mechanical strength of our materials below:
